Horror game review – RESIDENT EVIL – VILLAGE by Dice Wolfgang Von Munster

My review of Resident Evil-Village

A little backstory about my long term experiences with the Resident evil video game franchise!

My Review: Dice Wolfgang Von Munster @splatterpunx138 –First off let’s dive right into my back story of this long-tenured Franchise of Resident Evil!

I’ve been a long-time fan of this video game franchise, ever since the first game for the first PlayStation. Absolutely loved the first two. Resident Evil 1 & 2 for the Ps1, Part 3 Nemesis was decent but, my least favorite of the 3.

A fervent horror fan for 35+ years now, so when they started making horror games —I was all about it, I was constantly playing Resident Evil, and similar horror-like games for video game consoles.

Nothing was better than shooting zombies and seeing blood on video games! I started to get burned out after part 3, I skipped part 4 for Ps2 but played Code Veronica and I was done, I didn’t touch another Resident Evil game until Biohazard first the Ps4 to which hooked me back into the Resident Evil franchise!!

…Now with that, my review on Resident Evil Village. Don’t misinterpret me, this isn’t a suggestive review of any sorts for I am extremely fanboyish and biased on horror games for my huge deep lust affair with horror! LOL!

RESiDENT EViL-ViLLAGE (2021)

This will not be a spoiler review in any way for I know there are still a lot of people out there that haven’t played the game yet, and or haven’t beaten it yet, so I don’t want to be the one to ruin it for anybody.

It takes place in a village that was in ruins of the aftermath of something extremely evil and sinister, something that ripped through the town’s residents leaving many perished, slaughtered, and left to rot!
Leaving the town in beautiful decay, this game is absolutely amazing. There are four stories. The first one takes up the majority of the game…

(1)-DiMiTRESCU CASTLE

You can’t get better than this, a giant hot lady with 3 hot vampire daughters in a dark dreadful spooky ole castle that has a dark evil past of murder, blood-filled tunnels! You have my attention now! LMAO!

This chapter takes up most of the game as Ethan Winters emerges himself into this old medieval castle, dark corners, spider webs, ghouls, and ghosts rise from pools of blood, CLASSIC!  A beautiful castle indeed, it has everything a horror lover would want in a chapter.

The creators did a magnificent job on this chapter, and it fully caught my attention to details.  To think there are still standing castles to this day makes this chapter even more intriguing to me. I’m a history lover who enjoys the dark pasts of our ancestors!  So this chapter was definitely right up my alley!

(2)-BENEViENTO HOUSE:

The Dimitrescu Castle and the Beneviento House are my two favorite chapter play through of this game.
Nothing really spooks me or scares me especially, jump scare stuff.  I’ve seen it all.

This house is definitely creepy, a spooky old Victorian home perched on top of a mountain surrounded by spooky trails. A lady who became obsessed with making dolls and long dark corridor-like stone tunnels with creaking doors shutting behind you as you merge into dark tunnels.

Ethan winters not knowing what lurks ahead for him makes it creepy, definitely stimulates my senses fully! This chapter was short and seemed very rushed, for the next two chapters are much longer than this one, which is unfortunate because the  Beneviento House was definitely my favorite of the four chapters wishing they would’ve made it a little bit lengthier!  Nonetheless? An awesome ride!

(3)-RESERVOIR

A chapter filled with moldy slime, a monster, and an old decaying falling apart reservoir? Yes, please.
I’ve always had a thing for the unknown of what could be found if we drained a lake or ocean. This chapter was also cool, timing is everything on this chapter unless you want to fall into slimy rusty water just to be devoured by some sea monster!  Sometimes my timing is way off, causing me to have to redo a certain portion LOL!
Fairly enjoyable chapter!

(4)-HEiSENBERG’S FACTORY

My least favorite chapter, the annoying sounds of clunking metal just turns me off, for I worked once as a CNC operator for 8 years.  So the sound of clunking banging metal annoys me tremendously!
This chapter did have a great villain, a mechanical whatever the hell it is man dude beast with a propeller as an arm weapon.

The factory is extremely huge and at times it’s easy to get lost.  Not my favorite of the chapters, they should’ve shortened this chapter definitely!

See, with me? I always blow through the game, beat it, then do another play-through so the second time around I can take in what the game fully offers —which this game is completely great, also… in my opinion this game shows you the origins of the Umbrella Corporation!

Final grading A 4.5 out of 5

The clunking metal didn’t do it for me! HAHA!
